Why We Believe In Early Dental Care and Education

According to research, kids who begin regular dental checkups early have a much higher chance of keeping healthy dental habits as they enter adulthood. By taking your child to a dentist at a very young age, they are less likely to have anxieties with each visit.

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends taking your child to their first dental visit by age 1 or within the first six months after their first tooth erupts.

If you are scheduling your child’s first dental visit, here are some tips to introduce them to their first dental experience!

  • Talk to your child about the experience of going to the dentist through books and games.
  • Share your own positive experiences of going to the dentist.
  • Request an office tour before your appointment.

The Importance of Preventive Dental Care

Another important benefit of introducing young kids to dental exams is so that any potential dental issue can be detected and treated early. This helps prevent you from having to pay for expensive dental treatments later on.

For a full exam, cleaning and fluoride treatment, our appointments are $55 for children under 3 and $75 for children over 3 years old.
