Emergency Care

For any dental emergencies, please do not hesitate to call our office at (480) 565-6755. We will do our best to see your child as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, please use the following first aid tips while waiting for your child to be seen by our dentist:

  1. Knocked-Out Tooth – Hold up the tooth (by the crown) without touching the root and rinse it well. If possible, put it back in its socket. If it’s not possible, place it in a cup of milk or water and see your child’s dentist ASAP.
  2. Misaligned or Loose Tooth – Slowly reposition the tooth and take your child to the dentist. It may be possible to anchor the loose tooth to a neighboring tooth for stability.
  3. Chipped Tooth – If the affected tooth is not painful, it may not be considered a dental emergency. However it’s important to avoid chewing on the area where the chipped tooth is located to prevent further damage. The chip can be filled with a composite material by your dentist.
  4. Cracked/Fractured Tooth – If your child’s tooth is fractured due to an accident, carefully rinse their mouth with warm water. Apply cold compress to reduce the swelling until your child is seen by a dentist.
